Chosen on the loom and brought back for one woman rather than for a shelf. The pankha motif runs the length of the pallu, drawn the way the weaver's family has always drawn it.

The silk is soft enough to drape and still hold a pleat, and the border carries its own weight without stiffening the fall. Worn once, it remembers the way you wear it.

Dry clean only, and only with someone who has handled real zari before. Store folded in cotton, never in plastic, and refold along a different line every few months so the silk does not crease along the same fold. Keep out of direct sunlight, and never spray perfume onto the cloth.
